This Sunday was spent rehearsing for our nativity play, 'No Room in the Inn', written by Labake Fakunle.

7th December

This is the second Sunday in Advent. Thank you, Loshe for lighting two Advent candles today.

The Junior Class talked about the shepherds' visit to baby Jesus. See Luke 2:8-20.

 

 

We also spent some time rehearsing for a short Christmas drama. More on this later . . .

 

 



30th November

This is the first Sunday of Advent. Thank you, Nimi for lighting our first Advent candle.

The Junior Class talked about the angel's visit to Mary, and made paper plate angels.

23rd November

We continued our discussion on the Parable of the Talents this week.
Many thanks to Lorraine for taking the Junior Class.

16th November

This week, both classes looked at the Parable of the Talents (or the Parable of the Gold Coins) in Luke 19:11-27.

We talked about how the coins in the story represent the talents or gifts we have, and how God wants us to use our gifts well and not waste them.

 

 

 

9th November

Continuing with the theme of learning from the Bible, the Junior Class looked at the story of Zaccheus (Luke 19:1-10).

2nd November

We talked today about how the Bible can be used for training us in righteousness.

The Junior Class looked at the story of Jesus' temptation in the desert, as told in Matthew 4:1-11.

 

 

When the devil tried to tempt Jesus to do wrong, He referred to what the scriptures said. We can use the Bible to help us decide what is right and wrong.
